Shane Mosley learned how to battle from an early age, making his life by literally fighting one-on-one with those he meets in the ring. With the finalization of his divorce in a California family law court, the famous boxer has had to put down his gloves.
As a community property state, all marital property earned during the course of the legal relationship belongs to the couple in completely equal shares. Because the couple filed for divorce in California, half of the purses that "Sugar Shane" won during his career belong to his now ex-wife, Jin.
Not only will Shane Mosley hand over half of his winnings, but three of his championship belts will be put in the "custody and control" of his ex-wife to be held for the couple's three minor children until they obtain the age of 18.
Shane Mosley recently battled the ever popular Manny Pacquiao and earned an incredible $3 million as a result of his participation in the bout. The boxer will be able to keep every penny he put in his purse because the fight was won after the couple's separation date.
The high-asset divorce has been rumored to cause the famous boxer some money issues after relinquishing a large amount of money to his ex. Jin will not only be granted an immediate large sum of money, but she will remain entitled to half of the profits from the sale of DVDs that commemorate her ex-husbands fights including ones that feature other famous opponents including Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto and Fernando Vargas.
